A short report about a long trip

The last leg:

After travelling 8,475 miles (13,639 km) over the course of the previous three days, I finally arrived at Campbell Hill, my 14th US Highpoint and the third I reached with my dad (also: Texas and Pennsylvania).

We uneventfully pulled into the parking lot 20 feet from the flagpole and completed our "winter ascent" without much difficulty (I almost slipped on some ice).

I had tried to contact the Hi-point Vocational School (937-599-3010) since my arrival in the USA from my home in New Zealand, but all I ever got was their answering machine message, so we wern't sure if the gates to the former missile site would be open or not.

Although the school was off for the Thanksgiving holiday, the area was open, and we drove right in.
